Our Story: Solid Oak Associates is a small business in Colorado founded by Bryon Sparling and David Johnson (DJ) in 2020. With over 50 years of combined federal and state law enforcement service, Bryon and David understand the importance of personal and professional development to an organization’s success. In 2020, they obtained their John C. Maxwell certification, and they share a deep passion for helping people reach their potential
What We Offer: As John C. Maxwell certified trainers, coaches, and DISC Personality Assessment facilitators, Solid Oak Associates offers a wide variety of personal, professional, and team development training opportunities for all levels within an organization.
Bryon has a combined 28 years of state and federal government experience. After completing his enlistment obligation in the United States Air Force, he began his career at the entry level and served the state of Colorado for 24 years in various capacities before retiring as an agency Assistant Director. His expertise in policy, process, and people development helps organizations to reach their potential. Bryon holds a BS in Interdisciplinary Studies with a focus on Government and Behavioral Science from Liberty University and is extremely passionate about helping others achieve their personal and professional goals.
David has over 30 years of experience working in state government. In 2022 he retired as an agency Director and continues his devotion to assisting companies and their employees in leadership, organizational, professional, and personal development. His experience from entry-level to the executive level has contributed to his broad knowledge and expertise in organizational development. David understands the importance of a healthy work culture, effective teamwork, and efficient organizational systems to the success of an organization and works closely with companies to achieve higher levels of functionality. David holds an MS in Organizational Leadership and a BS in Behavioral Science.
